Chip Repairs
We repair chips using a color-matched epoxy. Our team specializes in mixing the perfect color for your specific stone, ensuring a clean repair. Once applied, the epoxy is carefully sanded flat to blend smooth with the surface, making most chip repairs virtually undetectable.
Crack Repairs
We use a color-matched epoxy to effectively bond the crack and restore the integrity of your stone surface. As a final touch, we polish the repaired area to ensure it blends seamlessly with the rest of the surface, making the repair smooth to the touch.
Rusted Rod Removal & Repair
If you notice a relatively straight crack running parallel to the edge of your countertop, either in front or behind the sink, it is likely due to a rusting support rod inside the stone. This method of supporting the stone with metal rods or rebar has now been discontinued due to the risk of rusting, which can lead to cracks. Today, fiberglass rods are used as a more reliable alternative.
To fully repair this issue, we remove the rusted rod and carefully bond the crack using a color-matched epoxy. We then polish the surface to ensure a smooth, seamless finish. Additionally, we make sure that the repaired stone is properly sealed and waterproof to maintain its durability and longevity.
Seam Repair
We specialize in repairing seams that have either detached over time or were poorly installed. Our process starts by fully detaching the seam and removing all old glue, ensuring a clean surface. We also "rough-up" the inside of the seam to improve adhesion. Once prepared, we re-level and support both seam pieces, then bond them together using a color-matched epoxy and specialized suction cups for precise alignment.
Sink Refitting
We can adjust the cutout dimensions and shape of any undermount or overmount sink to suit your needs. Using specialized tools, we keep dust to an absolute minimum during the process. We then carefully cut and polish the edge of the sink cutout to ensure it looks as straight and shiny as if it came from the factory. Additionally, we add a support bar underneath all undermount sinks to ensure permanent adhesion for long-lasting stability.
